Day Porter

Day Porter Job Summary
We are looking for a Day Porter to maintain the lobby and common areas of buildings. Your tasks will include mopping floors, wiping down windows, dusting fixtures, and emptying trash. You will also service the parking area and restrooms. During certain seasons, you may need to clear walkways leading up to the building. Our ideal candidate is someone who will take pride in keeping the building beautiful, clean, and comfortable for all visitors. Applicants should have some professional cleaning experience or be familiar with cleaning products and equipment.

Day Porter Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness of lobby and other common areas
• Spot mop floors and place caution signs
• Vacuum
• Sweep/use blower to maintain parking areas as needed
• Wipe down window glass and elevator surfaces
• Dust fixtures, countertops, and other surfaces
• Empty trash
• Service Fitness Area (where applicable)
• Service restrooms, water fountains, etc…
Day Porter Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Janitorial or maintenance experience preferred
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Familiarity with common cleaning supplies and hand tools
• Physical stamina
• Ability to work outdoors
• Friendly demeanor
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to perform duties with or without supervision
• Self-motivated
• Being that this role interacts with our clients, customer service is imperative.
